Crisp Tabla Recital marked the 3rd Webaithak of Pracheen Kala Kendra

Pracheen Kala Kendra has been one of the pioneers of India to organize regular concerts all over the length and breadth of the country and every baithak and concert or a festival features exciting and extremely talented musicians in a bid to promote the art of Indian Classical Music in an effort to promote the artists and their art and art forms. For several years now, without fail, Pracheen Kala Kendra has been providing a glorious stage for young artists to blossom and veteran/maestros to bless audiences with their performances, hence aiding the flourishment of the world of Indian Classical Music. But in these unprecedented times where social distancing has to be followed to stop the global pandemic’s spread across communities, dedicated listeners and music lovers, critics, learners, and artists need not worry about staying away from our coveted musical Baithaks. Thus, Pracheen Kala Kendra has started their WEBaithak series (Baithaks on the web) for everyone who wanted to feel the warmth of good music healing their souls and giving hope in these trying times.

After completing two successful editions of the weekly baithak which features every Friday at 8 pm sharp on Pracheen Kala Kendra’s Facebook Page and YouTube Channel, the third edition broadcasted LIVE on Friday, 19th June 2020, 8 pm onwards featured  a solo recital by the extremely talented Tabla exponent Sh Pran Gopal Bandopadhyay. Pran Gopal is the son and disciple of the illustrious Tabla maestro of the Benaras Gharana  Pt Ananda Gopal Bandopadyay who has been a trendsetter for the Gharana and the highly coveted Benaras – Baaj in Kolkata.

Beginning with traditional starting point Peshkar, Pran  gradually unfolded alap-like elaboration, crisp kaidas with rhythmic variations, complex parans, gat, rela, tihais — almost all the different idioms of Tabla playing within the frame of the 16-beat cycle of the tala with tricky numerical permutations and combinations. Young percussionist displayed different shades of Tabla playing with superb clarity. He also presented some traditional and  famous  bandishes of his Gharana and compositions of his Guru and father Pt. Ananda Gopal Bandyopadhyay.

Sushant the star – Sohan Roy’s new poem on the untimely demise of the rising star, Sushant Singh Rajput

June 14th marked the sad demise of a well-known Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput. The news immersed India in a state of shock, mainly because the actor was young and successful. This incident unveiled a not much-realized face of depression, which is often kept under wraps. This incident brought the ugly reality of life to the public as he was an embodiment of a self-made man who made a name for himself in the industry without any support. A Bollywood star with a bright future ahead of him seemingly gave in and died by suicide. Poet and Hollywood director, Dr. Sohan Roy, in his new poem “Sushant the star,” wrote about Sushant’s untimely death. Roy started the Poem by mentioning the most outstanding role in his career, the character he did as M.S Dhoni in the biopic “Dhoni.” The poet stresses on how he had his dreams achieved and life sorted out but still ended up doing such an unfortunate deed. It reflects that nothing monetary or no amount of achievement can sum up someone’s happiness in life. Roy describes him using the homonym star as he was genuinely eligible for both meanings of the word. It was a doomed day for the nation, Dr. Roy chose Sushant’s demise as the topic of Roy’s Poem because it opened up a lot of misconceptions seen in today’s world. It was a revelation to people who thought that the glam everybody exhibits outside and on social platforms is the lives they live. Sushant led a life which anyone would crave, but despite living amidst all that fame and luxury, he still chose to end his life. This has made the whole nation stop and think.

Dr. Sohan Roy, C.E.O OF U.A.E based Aries Group of Companies, is a compassionate person concerned about fellow beings and has worked relentlessly in numerous ways to help the needy.  Choosing current affairs as a topic, he has been writing and releasing haikus daily, for the past two and half years in a 4-line Poem based Internet Troll or “Poetroll” form along with suiting graphics and music. He has written about 900 Poetrolls that stands out in the postmodern literary Field. His aspiration has always been beyond monetary achievements and has relentlessly worked for the progress of our nation. His “Roars of Color” is one such effort that can represent India’s solidarity extended towards any citizen facing the terrors of racial discrimination. He has also bridged the gap India had with the most reputed Oscar Awards by Directing the Hollywood movie “DAM 999”. His debut directorial venture contended for the Oscars and received 5 selections in 3 categories….

Bollywood Lost Another Best Actor Sushant Singh Rajput

मुंबई : फ़िल्म अभिनेता सुशांत सिंह राजपूत ने आज अपने घर में फांसी लगाकर आत्महत्या कर ली। उनके घर के नौकर ने यह जानकारी पुलिस को दी। मुम्बई में बांद्रा के अपने फ्लैट में वे फांसी से लटके हुए मिले। परिवारिक मित्रों के अनुसार वे कुछ दिनों से अवसादग्रस्त (डिप्रेशन) थे।

सुशांत का जन्म 21 जनवरी 1986 को पटना बिहार में हुआ था। सर्वप्रथम वे टीवी धारावाहिक ‘किस देश में है मेरा दिल’ से अपने अभिनय करिअर की शुरुआत की थी। लेकिन प्रसिद्धि एकता कपूर के धारावाहिक ‘पवित्र रिश्ता’ से मिली। इसके बाद उन्होंने फ़िल्म ‘काई पो छे’ से रुपहले पर्दे पर कदम रखा। क्रिकेटर महेंद्र सिंह धोनी की बायोपिक ‘एम एस धोनी अनटोल्ड स्टोरी’ की जबरदस्त सफलता के बाद उनका फिल्मी ग्राफ बढ़ गया। केदारनाथ, राब्ता, शुद्ध देसी रोमांस, छिछोरे, सोन चिरैया, ब्योमकेश बक्शी और पीके जैसी फिल्मों से अपने अभिनय का लोहा मनवाया।

मरने से पहले उन्होंने इंस्टाग्राम पर अंतिम और भावुक पोस्ट अपनी मम्मी को लिखा था। बॉलीवुड के लिए यह एक बड़ा झटका है।

कुछ समय पहले सुशांत की मैनेजर दिशा ने भी आत्महत्या कर ली थी जो अचरज भरा था। अब सुशांत की आत्महत्या की खबर संदेह का माहौल पैदा कर रही है। क्या अज्ञात कारण है कि सुशांत ने यह कदम उठाया। फिलहाल पुलिस इसकी छानबीन में लग गई है।

सुशांत का फिल्मी करियर अपनी उछाल पर था। आर्थिक रूप से भी वे सम्पन्न थे। हाँ वर्तमान समय में कारोना के कारण सभी की जिंदगी रुक गयी है, परंतु यह अंत तो नहीं। कारोना काल हटते ही जिंदगी की दौड़ प्रारंभ हो जाएगी।

सुशांत के मौत की खबर सुनते ही सुपरस्टार अक्षय कुमार ने ट्वीटर अकॉउंट पर लिखा है कि उनके मृत्यु से निशब्द हूँ। उनकी हालिया हिट फिल्म ‘छिछोरे’ देखकर मैंने इस फ़िल्म के निर्माता मित्र साजिद नाडियाडवाला को फोन कर फ़िल्म का हिस्सा बनने की बात कही थी। वह प्रतिभावान अभिनेता थे। ईश्वर उनके परिवार को दुख सहने की शक्ति प्रदान करे।

Ghazal Maestro Pankaj Udhas Sings His First Ever Marathi Song With Apeksha Music

गझल सम्राट पंकज उधास यांचे अपेक्षा म्युझिक साठी पहिलेवहिले पाऊसगाणे

वर्षा ऋतूला सुरुवात झाली आणि हा पावसाचा आनंद द्विगुणित करण्यासाठी ‘अपेक्षा म्युझिक’ तर्फे सुद्धा नवीन पाऊसगाणेआले आहे. गझल सम्राट पंकज उधास आणि मधुर आवाजाची गायिका कविता पौडवाल या दोघांच्या स्वरात ‘रंगधनूचा झूला’ हे पाऊसगाणे वर्षाऋतुतील  प्रेम अधिक गहिरे करणार आहे .

हा पाऊस खास आहे कारण जेव्हा पावसाची रिमझिम बरसात होते ,तेव्हा ऊर्जादायक इंद्रधनुष्य तुमच्याशी संवाद साधतेआणि प्रेमाच्या लहरी पसरवते. पावसामध्ये सर्वात चांगली गोष्ट कोणती तर चांगले संगीत ऐकणे .

पावसाच्या गीतांमध्ये नेहमीच प्रेमगीतांना महत्वाचे स्थान असते. ‘रंगधनूचा झूला’ हे पावसातील प्रेमगीत नक्कीच प्रेमाचासंदेश देणारे ठरेल.

गझल सम्राट पद्मश्री पंकज उधास त्यांच्या मराठी भाषेतील या पहिल्या गीताबद्दल म्हणतात, “मराठी भाषेत गाणे गाण्याचेमाझे स्वप्न होते आणि या गाण्याच्या निमित्ताने हे पूर्ण झाले. हे गीत मराठीतील दिग्गज संगीतकार अशोक पत्की यांनीसंगीतबद्ध केले असून सुप्रसिद्ध गीतकार मंदार चोळकर यांच्या लेखणीतून हे गीत साकारले आहे. हे गीत उत्कृष्ट प्रेमगीतअसून कविता पौडवाल यांच्याबरोबर मी ते गायलं आहे. संगीत प्रेमींना हे गीत कायम लक्षात राहिल. मराठी गीत गाण्याचेमाझे स्वप्न पूर्ण करण्यासाठी मी ‘अपेक्षा म्युझिक’ यांना धन्यवाद देतो.”

गायिका कविता पौडवाल त्यांचा आनंद व्यक्त  करताना म्हणाल्या, “मी माझ्या ‘रंगधनूचा झूला’ या गाण्याबद्दल बरीचउत्सुक आहे. हे मराठी युगुलगीत मी गझल उस्ताद पंकज उधास यांच्याबरोबर गायले आहे. मला पूर्ण खात्री आहे की हे गीतभाषेचे सर्व अडथळे दूर करेल आणि जगभरातील संगीतप्रेमी लोकांच्या हृदयाला स्पर्शून जाईल. पंकजजी यांचे हे पहिले मराठीगीत असल्याने या गीताला एक वेगळे महत्व आहे आणि त्यांच्या चाहत्यांपर्यंत ही गोष्ट नक्कीच योग्य प्रकारे पोहचेल. ‘अपेक्षा म्युझिक’ या निर्मिती संस्थेचा कायमच दर्जेदार गोष्टींवर विश्वास आहे आणि त्यामुळे असे उत्तम गाणे चाहत्यांपर्यंतपोहचवण्यात ‘अपेक्षा म्युझिक’ हा उत्तम पर्याय आहे.”
