Lucknow: A meeting of the State Legislature Pensioners’ Association was held in the conference hall of the Vidhan Bhavan, Lucknow, presided over by Dr. C.P. Sharma with Babita Singh Chauhan, Chairperson of State Women’s Commission attending as the chief guest. Distinguished guests who addressed the gathering included Chandra Bhushan Tripathi (IAS, MD of the Uttar Pradesh Cooperative Federation); BJP leader and Chairman of VKDL NPA Advisory Council Advocate Vinay Kumar Dubey, Dr. Suryakant; Govind Jangid (Jaipur); Ramakant Panchal (Ujjain); Shivam Singh (Ballia); and Manmohan Yadav. During the event, Babita Singh Chauhan, Chairperson of the Uttar Pradesh State Commission for Women specially honored Advocate V. K. Dubey in recognition of his continuous social work undertaken by him and his organisations specifically the provision of employment to thousands of women in state of Uttar Pradesh and efforts toward public welfare.
In her address, the Chairperson emphasized the spirit of social welfare and the primacy of the nation, while commending the resolve shown towards women’s welfare and public service. In his speech, Advocate V.K. Dubey invoked Lord Vishwakarma and called upon everyone to dedicate themselves to the nation through hard work, technology, and skill, aiming to establish India as a ‘Vishwa Guru’. He praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, lauding the government’s schemes and highlighting how their benefits are reaching the masses. He spoke highly of work done in the state by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and explained the distinction between good governance and poor governance.
Dubey stated that given the current pace of progress, the day is not far when India will become a global leader and a developed nation. He expressed confidence that the ‘double-engine government’ would remain committed to the state, ensuring the smooth implementation of various government projects in every village so that even the most marginalized individuals could reap the benefits; only then, he noted, could the goal of ‘Antyodaya’ (upliftment of the last person) be realized and a developed nation built.
He pledged to serve and inspired the audience by raising the slogan “Bharat Mata Ki Jai.” Advocate Dubey, a former member of the Official Language and Hindi Advisory Committees under the Government of India’s Ministry of Skill Development and Ministry of Home Affairs, is renowned nationwide for his outstanding legal services and social work. He was specially honored for his remarkable contributions in the fields of banking, NPA resolution, legal awareness, and social service. The felicitation ceremony was the highlight of the event. Advocate Dubey was also accorded special honor. The audience present at the ceremony greeted him with thunderous applause.
Vinay Kumar Dubey (V. K. Dubey) is a distinguished legal expert based in Mumbai, Delhi, and Bengaluru renowned for his specialized expertise in civil, criminal, and NPA (Non-Performing Asset) advisory matters. He primarily represents clients in high-profile cases before the Bombay High Court and the Supreme Court. Beyond general legal practice, he holds a distinct reputation in banking and industrial legal matters; he serves as the Chairman of the VKDL NPA Advisory Council and also as CMD of NPA BAZAAR PRIVATE LIMITED, a company playing a pivotal role in resolving financial disputes. He has served as a member of the Government of India’s Hindi Advisory Committee and has been appointed as a Special Executive Officer by the Government of Maharashtra. He heads the prestigious law firm “V. K. Dubey Associates,” which operates on the principle of “Justice for All” and specializes in resolving civil and criminal disputes.
Additionally, he leads public service initiatives through various social organizations. कुशीनगर (उत्तरप्रदेश) : फिल्मी दुनिया की चकाचौंध सभी को आकर्षित करती हैं। दर्शक मुख्यतः मनोरंजन के लिए आकर्षित होते हैं। वहीं, इस क्षेत्र में निर्माण कार्य से जुड़े लोग यश, वैभव एवं मान – सम्मान के लिए जुड़ते हैं अथवा फिल्म इंडस्ट्री में कुछ करने की इच्छा व जुनून होता हैं। कई इस क्षेत्र में पहले से कामयाबी हासिल कर चुके शख्सियत से प्रेरित होकर आते हैं अथवा अपने शौक को आजीविका बनाने आते हैं। लेकिन, कुशीनगर उत्तरप्रदेश के अनिल शर्मा उनमें से नहीं हैं। अनिल शर्मा पेशे से इंजीनियर हैं और अभिनय में रुचि की वजह से आज निर्माता – निर्देशक भी बन चुके हैं।
वर्तमान में अपने पेशे के साथ फिल्मों के निर्माण व निर्देशन कार्य को भी पूरा कर रहें हैं। कई भोजपुरी फिल्मों सहित वेब सीरीज और लघु फिल्मों का निर्माण – निर्देशन कर चुके हैं। उन्होंने मैकेनिकल इंजीनियरिंग की डिग्री इलाहाबाद (अब प्रयागराज) से ली। फिल्मों में आने का मकसद समाज को पारवारिक, सामाजिक और सभ्य दिशा देने वाली फिल्में देना हैं और प्रयास करना हैं कि अश्लील, फूहड़ व भद्दी फिल्में ना बनें।
इलाहाबाद (अब प्रयागराज) में कार्यक्रम के दौरान अमिताभ बच्चन से मिलें और प्रेरित हुए
बॉलीवुड के महानायक अमिताभ बच्चन इलाहाबाद (अब प्रयागराज) में किसी कार्यक्रम में पहुंचे हुए थे और इसी क्रम में निर्माता निर्देशक अनिल शर्मा की मुलाकात सर्किट हाउस में अमिताभ बच्चन से हुई। इस मुलाकात ने अनिल शर्मा को काफी प्रेरित किया और अभिनय में इनकी रुचि जागृत हुई। इन्होंने में मन बना लिया कि फिल्म के क्षेत्र में भी काम करेंगे। इसके बाद भोजपुरी फिल्म ” बलम परदेसिया ” के खलनायक बीरेंद्र से भी मिलें। उनके सुझाव से काफी प्रेरित हुए और मन की इच्छा बढ़ी एवं पूरी तरह से मन बना लिया कि अभिनय करेंगे।
भोजपुरी फिल्म ” गंगा किनारे ” में मिला छोटा सा किरदार
उन दिनों इलाहाबाद (अब प्रयागराज) में भोजपुरी फिल्म ” गंगा किनारे ” की शूटिंग चल रही थी। अनिल शर्मा ने सोचा इस फिल्म में अभिनय को लेकर एक प्रयास किया जाए और पहली बार इस फिल्म से एक छोटा सा किरदार करने का मौका मिला। उस समय बहुत प्रसन्न हुए कि अब फिल्मों में भी एक शुरुआत कर लिए हैं। आगे का रास्ता भी निकल ही जाएगा।
अभिनय के बाद बनें सहायक निर्देशक और फिर निर्माता – निर्देशक
बतौर अभिनेता फिल्म ” गंगा किनारे ” में एक छोटा सा किरदार करने के बाद अनिल शर्मा को भोजपुरी फिल्म ” सईयां जी” में असिस्टेंट डायरेक्टर के रूप में काम करने का मौका मिला। यह फिल्म पूरी तरह से बनकर तैयार तो हुई, लेकिन किसी कारणवश रिलीज नहीं हो पाई। इसके बाद से अनिल शर्मा ने मन बनाया कि स्वयं निर्माण भी करेंगे और निर्देशन भी। जिसके पश्चात भोजपुरी गायक आलोक कुमार और अभिनेत्री कनक पांडेय को लेकर फिल्म ” हमर बेटी ” बनाई। कई शॉर्ट फिल्मों का भी निर्देशन किया। जिनमें ” सैनिक हिन्दुस्तानी “, ” प्रेम प्रतिज्ञा ” एवं अन्य शामिल हैं। वेब सीरीज रक्षक एवं सच्चाई का भी निर्देशन किया। जबकि, भोजपुरी फिल्म ” लागी ऐसी लगन ” का पोस्ट प्रोडक्शन चल रहा हैं। आगामी फिल्में जज साहब और पिपरा के छांव में की भी तैयारी चल रहीं हैं। बहुत जल्द इनकी शूटिंग शुरू होगी।
अनिल शर्मा की शिक्षा, रुचि और नौकरी
अनिल शर्मा मूलतः उत्तरप्रदेश के कुशीनगर से हैं। मैकेनिकल इंजीनियरिंग की पढ़ाई भी की हैं। शुरुआत में कई कंपनियों में बतौर इंजीनियर नौकरी किए और वर्तमान में डिप्टी इंजीनियर के पद पर कार्यरत हैं। फिल्म निर्माण – निर्देशन में रुचि हैं। जिसे करते रहना हैं और नौकरी के साथ इसे भी बरकरार रखना हैं। जब सेवानिवृत्त हो जाएंगे, फिर पूरी तरह से फिल्म इंडस्ट्री के लिए ही काम करेंगे।

Annpurna Shukla was born on the 1st of September, 1964, and has spent the better part of her life in Jaipur, a city whose light, colour, and centuries-old visual traditions seem to have settled somewhere deep in her practice. She didn’t arrive at art as a hobby that grew into a career; she built an entire life’s architecture around it, as a painter, a teacher, a researcher, and eventually, a chronicler of the very traditions she grew up around. Her early recognition came through the circuit familiar to so many serious Indian artists: state exhibitions, teachers’ art shows, regional Lalit Kala Akademi platforms.
Her current work tells the story of narrowing, and that’s really the more interesting story. This September, that narrowing arrives at one of India’s most storied art addresses, the Jehangir Art Gallery in Mumbai, with a solo show called Drishya Se Adrishya, “From the Visible to the Invisible.” Opening on the 14th of September and running through the 20th at Hirji Gallery inside Jehangir Art Gallery, the show is framed by Shukla not as a landscape show but as a record of her own maturing eye. In her own words, an artist’s early years are usually spent chasing clarity, trying to render the visible world with more and more precision. But somewhere along the way, if the practice deepens, the opposite instinct takes over. Detail starts falling away. What’s left isn’t less, exactly, it’s more distilled. A few lines, a few colours, a gesture, and somehow the whole feeling of a place survives the reduction.
For Shukla, that’s not a stylistic choice so much as a spiritual one. She describes it as a movement from the external toward the internal, from what the eye records toward the quieter consciousness that she feels pulsing behind everything visible. Nature, in this telling, was never really the subject. It was the doorway. The show builds toward this idea in its final stretch, in a series of still-life paintings of potted flowers. Instead of a sprawling landscape, the natural world is gathered into a contained, quiet space, and in that containment, Shukla finds a kind of wholeness that the wide view couldn’t offer. Many forms, many directions, folding into one harmonious presence.
Walk into Hirji Gallery this September and you’ll find work that rewards slowness: watercolours where mountains soften into memory, and canvases where the density of brushwork, closer up, dissolves into abstraction, all cream, ochre and indigo, before resolving again into something like a forest floor or a tangle of undergrowth. It’s the kind of painting that changes depending on how close you stand to it, which feels like the whole point. Six decades in, Annpurna Shukla isn’t done chasing precision, she’s just decided precision might live somewhere other than detail. Drishya Se Adrishya is less an exhibition of paintings than an invitation to look the way she’s learned to: past the visible, toward whatever it’s quietly pointing at.

Icelandic Ambassador H.E. Benedikt Höskuldsson Becomes Patron Of Indo-Iceland Film And Cultural Forum
New Delhi: In a significant step towards strengthening cultural relations between India and Iceland, the Patronship of the Indo-Iceland Film and Cultural Forum was formally presented to H.E. Benedikt Höskuldsson, Ambassador of Iceland to India, during a gracious ceremony held at the Embassy of Iceland in New Delhi.
The Indo-Iceland Film and Cultural Forum was established by the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) to develop meaningful cooperation between the two countries through cinema, television, media, art, culture, education, tourism and other creative disciplines.
Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of ICMEI and Chancellor of AAFT University of Media and Arts, congratulated the Ambassador on accepting the Patronship of the Forum. “We are deeply honoured to welcome H.E. Benedikt Höskuldsson as the Patron of the Indo-Iceland Film and Cultural Forum. His guidance and support will add fresh energy to our efforts to bring the people of India and Iceland closer through art and culture,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah.
“Iceland is internationally admired for its extraordinary natural beauty, rich literary traditions and rapidly growing creative and film industries. The Forum will encourage greater interaction among filmmakers, artists, writers, students, educators, cultural organisations and tourism professionals from both countries,” Dr. Marwah added.
H.E. Benedikt Höskuldsson expressed his appreciation for the honour and welcomed the initiative to expand cultural cooperation between India and Iceland. “Culture and creative expression play an important role in building understanding and friendship among nations. Iceland and India share immense possibilities for collaboration in films, arts, literature, education, tourism and cultural exchange. I am pleased to accept the Patronship of the Indo-Iceland Film and Cultural Forum and look forward to supporting its meaningful initiatives,” said H.E. Benedikt Höskuldsson.
The Forum will work towards organising film screenings, cultural festivals, art exhibitions, academic exchanges, workshops, seminars, institutional partnerships and visits by artists and creative professionals. It will also explore opportunities for collaboration between the film and media industries of India and Iceland.
The ceremony reaffirmed the shared commitment of both sides to advancing people-to-people relations and creating new avenues of cooperation under ICMEI’s global mission of promoting Love, Peace and Unity Through Art and Culture.
