For a long time, Aliya Khan was working a regular corporate job. It gave her stability, but deep down, she always knew acting and modeling were what she really wanted to do. She often says the only thing she regrets is not taking that first step sooner.
Now that she’s finally in the industry, Aliya is making the most of every opportunity that comes her way. Even though she’s still a newcomer, she has already started building a presence and is enjoying every bit of the journey.
One of her first projects is the short film Aaina, where she got the chance to explore acting in front of the camera. She also has two music videos lined up for release, and she’s excited for audiences to see what she has been working on.
Apart from acting, Aliya enjoys modeling and loves being in front of the camera. She hopes to work on short films, music videos, fashion shoots, digital content, advertisements, and brand collaborations. For her, every project is a chance to learn something new and become a better performer.
Aliya believes this is only the beginning. She wants to keep exploring different roles, meeting new people, and growing with every experience. With fresh projects on the way and a genuine love for performing, she’s looking forward to making her own place in the entertainment industry.

Eternal Whispers of Stone presents a compelling ongoing series of paintings by Mumbai-based artist Uma Krishnamoorthy, who turns her gaze towards India’s sacred architecture as repositories of memory, devotion and cultural continuity. Rather than treating temples as monuments frozen in history, Uma approaches them as living presences whose meanings continue to evolve through ritual, landscape and the everyday lives that surround them.
Working primarily in oil on linen or canvas, the artist journeys across the Indian subcontinent; from the Golden Temple in Amritsar and the sculptural magnificence of Kamakhya in Assam to the temple towns of Kashi, Konark, Kasardevi, Kopeshwar and beyond. Yet this exhibition is not intended as a documentary survey. Instead, it is an exploration of atmosphere: of light settling upon ancient stone, reflections dissolving architecture into water, mountain silence framing a solitary shrine, and the quiet passage of time etched into weathered surfaces.
Uma’s paintings are marked by an instinctive sensitivity to light and structure. Architectural forms emerge not merely as feats of craftsmanship but as vessels carrying centuries of faith, craftsmanship and collective memory. Her compositions frequently linger on thresholds, stairways, domes and sculptural details, inviting the viewer to pause before entering these sacred spaces both physically and imaginatively. The measured handling of colour and light allows each site to retain its distinct geographical and cultural identity while suggesting a shared spiritual vocabulary that transcends region.
The exhibition also reflects on the remarkable resilience of India’s temple traditions observed during her repeated travels. These structures have witnessed changing kingdoms, political upheavals and shifting cultural landscapes, yet they continue to function as centres of worship, gathering and continuity. In Uma’s hands, architecture becomes less an archaeological relic than a living archive where history, belief and daily life remain inseparable.
Eternal Whispers of Stone offers viewers an opportunity to reconsider sacred architecture beyond its iconic status. It invites a slower engagement with places where stone has absorbed centuries of footsteps, prayers and silence, revealing temples not only as architectural achievements but also as enduring custodians of India’s civilisational memory.
This show was inaugurated on 4th August 2026 by the Hon. Guests Smt. Sreedevi Surya & Shri. Challa Sreenivasulu Setty, Chairman, State Bank of India

The new offering combines the depth of Vedic astrology with AI to help individuals better understand their financial potential and make more informed life decisions.
Bengaluru: Melooha, a Bengaluru-based AI-first astrology platform caters to over 3 million users across 190 countries, announced the launch of Artha Sutram, a personalised Wealth Astrology Report that combines the timeless wisdom of vedic astrology with the power of artificial intelligence to deliver deeper contextual financial insights.
As per Indian philosophy, Artha represents prosperity, purpose, and material well-being, one of the four fundamental pursuits of life. Inspired by this philosophy, Artha Sutram is designed to help individuals understand their financial journey through the lens of astrology. By analysing an individual’s birth chart, planetary influences, and astrological combinations associated with wealth, career, opportunities, and financial patterns, the report provides personalised guidance tailored to each user’s life path.
While astrology has long been used to understand an individual’s strengths, opportunities, and life cycles, interpreting complex birth charts often requires significant expertise. Artha Sutram bridges this gap to get more personalised insights on the financial journey by using Melooha’s proprietary AI engine to make it more accessible, and easier to understand. Rather than replacing astrology, AI serves as an intelligent assistant that enhances the delivery of personalised astrological guidance at scale.
The launch comes amid rising consumer interest in wealth-focused astrological guidance. On the Melooha platform, wealth-related queries account for nearly 15% of all user questions and have grown by over 50% in the last 12 months, reflecting an increasing demand for personalised insights around financial planning, career growth, and long-term prosperity.
As more individuals seek personalised guidance for important life decisions, astrology is increasingly being viewed as a tool for self-awareness and long-term planning, including financial wellbeing. The trend is particularly pronounced among working professionals, with 65% of users seeking wealth guidance falling in the 25–44 age group individuals in their prime earning and wealth-building years who are increasingly looking for personalised guidance to navigate important financial decisions.
Recognising this shift, Melooha developed Artha Sutram to offer users meaningful astrological insights into their wealth potential, career growth, and financial patterns. The report analyses an individual’s Vedic birth chart to provide personalised insights into wealth yogas, favourable financial periods, career and income potential, along with tailored remedies and guidance, making complex astrological interpretations simple and accessible through AI.
Speaking on the launch, Vikram Labhe, Founder & CEO, Melooha, said:
“For centuries, Vedic astrology has helped people understand different aspects of their lives, including wealth, career, and prosperity. One of the most celebrated figures in this tradition was the legendary astrologer Varahamihira, one of the nine gems in King Vikramaditya’s court, who is said to have been consulted on matters of governance and prosperity. At Melooha, we believe technology should enhance this timeless wisdom, not replace it. Inspired by over 5,000 years of Vedic knowledge, Artha Sutram combines the depth of Vedic astrology with AI to make personalised wealth insights more accessible and relevant for today’s generation. More than just an astrology report, it serves as a personalised financial roadmap that helps individuals identify their wealth strengths, uncover potential income opportunities, understand financial patterns, and navigate their wealth journey with greater clarity, while keeping astrology at the heart of the experience.”
Artha Sutram reflects Melooha’s broader vision of making authentic astrological guidance more accessible through responsible technology. By combining expert astrological principles with AI-driven personalisation, the platform continues to simplify complex astrological interpretations, enabling users to make more informed decisions across various aspects of life while staying rooted in the timeless wisdom of astrology.

Actor, producer and entrepreneur Sachiin Joshi, who hails from Jodhpur, has once again made history with the transformation of Goa’s iconic Kingfisher Villa into King’s Mansion, a 42-room, seven-star super-luxury boutique hotel. For readers of Jodhpur Times, it is a moment of particular pride—seeing a son of the Marwar land, shaped by the grit and grandeur of the Blue City, leave a mark on one of India’s most talked-about luxury addresses.
Sachiin has always chosen to think beyond the conventional. From establishing himself across Hindi and Telugu cinema through films such as Aazaan, Mumbai Mirror, Jackpot, Nee Jathaga Nenundali and Veedevadu, to backing ambitious productions and building diverse business ventures, his journey has consistently reflected scale, individuality and the courage to take on projects others may consider impossible. That same Jodhpur-bred resilience—familiar to anyone who has grown up in the shadow of Mehrangarh Fort and the stark beauty of the Thar—seems to run through everything he builds.
Whether facing the camera, producing cinema or creating businesses, Sachiin has never believed in doing anything halfway. His work has carried a distinct preference for international standards, sophisticated presentation and ideas that leave a lasting impact. King’s Mansion is perhaps the most powerful expression of that philosophy, blending global luxury sensibilities with a sense of bold Indian ambition.
When Sachiin acquired the former Kingfisher Villa in 2017, he did not see it merely as a celebrated piece of real estate. He envisioned the possibility of giving one of India’s most recognised private addresses an entirely new identity. What followed were years of vision, perseverance and meticulous attention to detail, culminating in the creation of an intimate luxury destination under Planet Hotels & Resorts.
The transformation from Kingfisher Villa to King’s Mansion mirrors Sachiin’s own journey—bold, cinematic and unwilling to settle for the ordinary. Its distinctive interiors, highly personalised hospitality, limited room count and international outlook reflect the same qualities that have defined his career: ambition, risk-taking, refinement and an instinct for creating larger-than-life experiences.
For Jodhpur, the milestone carries a special sense of pride. A son of the city has taken an address already known across India and reimagined it as a hospitality landmark designed to stand alongside the finest luxury destinations in the world. From the lanes of Jodhpur to the global luxury map, Sachiin Joshi has not merely opened a hotel; he has created a statement about Indian vision, Marwar confidence, and the ability to take home-grown luxury boldly onto the world stage.
