Domestic violence is an offence punishable by law. Everyone knows it. Some abide by the rule; some ignore it. Yes, relationships are complex in nature, even messier at times. But this complexity leading to a woman being subjected to torture or violence is downright atrocious. Several Bollywood filmmakers have come forward and made films on this issue, which has been prevailing in our society since like forever.
The latest film that picks up the issue of domestic violence is “I killed Her”, an Indian romantic drama directed & Written by Aayush Kungwani and produced by Shahjahan with DOP Dharam Biswas and Ankush Singh .The film has Shahjahan, Sparsh Agarwal and Sristhi Jain in pivotal roles. Most importantly, it will be interesting to watch Aayush Kungwani take on the issue of domestic violence. Recently they kept special screening of the film which is attended by “I killed her” star cast and Kapil Kaustubh Sharma, Sanjay Sharma, Tarun Nathani, Shikhar Kungwani, Ashok Patel and many more.
This is a story about sacrifice that two people who are madly in love with each other make. But on the other hand it brings up social issues like domestic violence, which are still not talked about enough in the Indian society.
