Developed by renowned statistician Padma Shri Professor (Dr.) Bimal Roy in collaboration with The Dialogue, marks a significant step in regulating the country’s booming online gaming market.

This groundbreaking initiative is the product of extensive engagement and consultation with industry experts, game developers, legal advisors, gamers, making the Framework a collaborative effort.

The report published by The Dialogue is the first version of the framework, which plans to continuously evolve based on further feedback from the industry, the government and emerging trends in the gaming industry so that it remains a dynamic and reliable tool for determining the legality of online real-money games in India.

Until now, India has lacked an industry-wide standardised mechanism to differentiate between skill-based and chance-based games. While court rulings have classified certain games and have laid down a qualitative test, there has been no consistent scientific test for game classification. Professor (Dr.) Bimal Roy, a leading authority in statistics and cryptology, is the former Chairman of the National Statistical Commission, Government of India, former Director of the Indian Statistical Institute (ISI) and a recipient of the Padma Shri award. Cheating with story writer Amit Gupta of the film “Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video”, producers accuse of not giving credit

Mumbai. Rajkumar Rao and Tripti Dimri starrer film ‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’ has got into controversy even before its release in theatres. Amit Gupta has not got the credit for writing the story of this film. He had also sent a legal notice to the producers through his lawyer, but he was only given consolation and neither did he get name nor money.

Famous Bollywood writer Amit Gupta said in a press conference held in Mumbai that a writer works only for name. We writers are happy from the heart that we have a name. But our financial condition is not so good. The saying ‘Dig a well every day and drink water every day’ is true for us. I am fighting for my rights. I am very disappointed and upset and my condition has become such that I feel like going to the T-Series office and committing suicide.”

Writer Amit Gupta looked very disappointed. He said that when he saw the trailer of the film ‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’, he was shocked because its central concept is written by him. He had registered this story with the Screen Writers Association (SWA) as a writer a long time ago. The story of ‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’ revolves around a newly married couple who record their private DVD on their wedding night. The twist in the story comes when the DVD gets lost, this creates chaos in their life and then comedy is created.

Amit Gupta has said that he had written this basic story structure, which has also been registered with the Screen Writers Association. Now the film ‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’ has been made on the same idea. This is a case of copyright violation and I sent a notice against the producers. In the reply that has come from Amit Gupta’s side to the notice, he has mentioned the registration The date written is after Amit Gupta’s registration date. Maharashtra Governor C.P. Radhakrishnan presented the Bharat Ratna Dr. Ambedkar Awards to eminent personalities from various walks of life at an Awards function held at ISKCON Auditorium in Juhu Mumbai.on 7 oct.24 5pm.

Well-known film star Prem Chopra was presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Governor.
