Filmmaker And Writer Neeraj Singh Is Set To Release A Short Film THE FEMALE KHATNA That Sheds Light On The Harrowing Reality

In a chilling exposé of a deeply entrenched practice within certain Muslim communities, filmmaker and writer Neeraj Singh is set to release a short film ” The Female Khatna” that sheds light on the harrowing reality of female circumcision, also known as Khatna. This controversial practice, which involves the cutting of the private parts of young girls aged 9-10, is a stark reminder of the physical and mental anguish endured by countless women even today.

While many are aware of the male circumcision tradition within Muslim society, few realize that a similar ritual is inflicted upon young girls in certain communities. This practice is not only a violation of the body but also leaves deep psychological scars that persist throughout a woman’s life. Despite legal prohibitions and social condemnation, the practice continues in secrecy, upheld by religious leaders and community pressure.

Neeraj Singh, known for his bold storytelling and willingness to tackle sensitive issues, has spent extensive time researching the topic. He uncovered that the practice of female circumcision is particularly prevalent among the Dawoodi Bohra Muslim community. In this community, the ritual, referred to as Khafz, involves the removal of the clitoral hood and, in some cases, the entire external genitalia. The procedure is often carried out without anesthesia, leading to severe pain, trauma, and lifelong complications.

During his research, Neeraj spoke to numerous women who had undergone Khatna. These women, now in their 30s and 40s, shared their painful experiences with him, recounting the lasting impact on their physical and mental health. Many described how they continue to suffer during sexual intercourse, enduring the pain inflicted upon them in childhood. The stigma associated with not being circumcised further exacerbates their suffering, as uncircumcised women are often shunned within their communities and face difficulties in finding marriage partners.

Neeraj revealed that these women confided in him under the condition of anonymity, fearing retribution from their communities. They spoke of the immense social pressure to conform to this practice, with circumcised women being regarded as pure and virtuous, while those who escape the ritual are ostracized and deemed unworthy.

While the practice of female circumcision is not widespread across India, it continues to thrive in pockets of certain Muslim communities, particularly among the Dawoodi Bohra. Despite growing awareness and efforts to curb the practice, it remains deeply rooted in tradition and religious belief, perpetuated by those who claim it is a necessary rite of passage.

Neeraj Singh’s short film aims to bring this hidden reality to the forefront, challenging societal norms and sparking conversations about the rights and dignity of women. The film, which is being produced for the International Film Festival circuit, will also be released on several major OTT platforms, ensuring it reaches a global audience.

In speaking about the project, Neeraj emphasized the importance of exposing the truth and giving a voice to the voiceless. “This is not just a film; it’s a statement against a barbaric practice that has no place in modern society. These women have suffered in silence for too long, and it’s time the world hears their stories,” he said.

By bringing this issue to the screen, Neeraj hopes to inspire change and encourage communities to abandon harmful traditions that violate human rights. His film is not just a condemnation of female circumcision, but also a call to action for society to protect the most vulnerable members—young girls who deserve to grow up free from fear and pain.

As the film prepares for its international debut, it is poised to make a significant impact on audiences and ignite a much-needed dialogue on the subject. Neeraj Singh’s courage in tackling such a sensitive and controversial issue is commendable, and his work is a powerful reminder of the role of art in challenging societal injustices and advocating for change.

Posters of web series “Sunn” directed by M R Khan and “Jiski Lathi Uski Bhains” being produced under the banner of MK Films and Television Production were launched in IMPPA Theatres.

Promotions of both the series were  screened, where everyone has liked the promo and its concept.

The chief guest of this event was former ACP Sanjay Patil. Also, the presence of producers M K Rajput and Dinesh K Dhabi.

One line of the concept, Do not tell a person so much that he gets bored of listening and when he starts telling, everyone learns. This web series “Sunn” is based on this issue. Inspired by a true incident, this series is a bitter truth. The past can be revealed in the web series “Sunn”.

On this occasion, the Stockholm series “Jiski Lathi Uski Bhains” being directed by M R  Khan was also announced. Posters of both the films were unveiled.

M K Films’ television production & MR Khan’s series “Jiski Lathi Uski Bhains” is directed by M R Khan. Co-producer is K K  Sharma and creative director is Rihanna Khan, DOP Kundan, writers Moti Sultanpuri and Vindhya Shukla. “Jiski Lathi Uski Bhains” is about our country.

Message of unity and brotherhood of India, this series tells how some people are trying to break India so we have to stay together and create an example of unity again.

Chief guest former ACP Sanjay Patil gave a solid review about the actors and directors for both the series and said that the security of the country is the most important. If this country is peaceful, then we are there, so the country is paramount and this series has been taken forward.

Many actors including Miss Riju, Muskaan, Sunil, Priya Thakur, Kalyani, Ishita Chakrawarty were seen in the web series. On this occasion, the song Vande Mataram was also shown which was composed by Sajan Sarhadi and the female voice is of Ishita Chakrawarty.

The semi-finals also included the elegant subtitle crowning ceremony, celebrating individual achievements and special titles.

As evening approached, the grandeur of the pageant continued with the highly anticipated finale. This was followed by the Evening Wear walk, a display of sophistication and style as the contestants glided down the runway in glamorous evening attire. The film is produced and directed by Sanjiv R Singh while dashing star Ashoka Thackur and Ganga Adhikari have played lead roles in this film. The producers of the film are Sanjiv R Singh, Chetan Prabhudas Jhala and Ravina. Made under the banner of Gaa Motion Pictures and Landmark Motion Pictures, this film stars Shah Alam as Daaruwala while creative director Satyajit Rajput has also played an important role in the film. India, 6^th August: — The World’s first mega musical on Shri Krishna – “Rajadhiraaj: Love Life Leela” conceptualised and created by Dhanraj Nathwani is set to captivate audiences with a one of its kind theatrical experiences, bringing to life the magnanimity and benevolence of Shri Krishna. Under the direction of Shruti Sharma, a seasoned theatre director with expertise in musical theatre, the production showcases the talents of over 180 artists, vividly bringing to life the convergence of Shri Krishna’s divine forms, as his Shrinathji and Dwarkadheesh swaroops are portrayed together for the first time in a musical play. From Krishna’s playful escapades as the mischievous cowherd in Gokul, endearing himself to the village folk, to his profound role as the wise charioteer imparting the timeless wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita, the musical captures the essence of Krishna’s multifaceted persona in a spellbinding manner.

Its allure is heightened by a soul-stirring soundtrack containing 20 original songs composed by ace music composer duo Sachin-Jigar. The music blends Western symphonic elements, specially recorded in Budapest, with Indian classical music, along with Haveli Sangeet, Rajasthani and Gujarati folk, and Hindustani semi-classical genres.

Kunwarpur – This Film Is The Beginning Of Regional Cinema Of Madhya Pradesh Indore

Comedy film ‘Kunwarpur’ has been made under the banner of Avinash Films and Maxon Battery to bring the talent of local artists.

 This is the first theatrical release film of the film’s director Rajendra Rathore, which is coming to the cinema on 9 August. The main actors of the film are Asrani, Vikram Kochhar, Avinash Tiwari, Annapurna Dwivedi, Garima Agarwal, Urmila Sharma along with local artists have also performed brilliantly.

The producer of the film is Laxman Barfa, Director Rajendra Rathore, a resident of Sailana in Ratlam, is working in Mumbai. He has so far made 50 ad films and 10 music videos along with short films and web series. Many actors like Sonu Sood, Hema Malini, Urvashi Rautela, Bhagyashree, Gauhar Khan have worked under his direction.

Director Rajendra Rathore said that – Till now there is no regional cinema of Madhya Pradesh and Malwa and Nimar have been presented through this film.

This film is the beginning of regional cinema of Madhya Pradesh. Through this film, we want to give recognition to local artists so that they also get a chance to work on the big screen. There is no dearth of talent among the youth in Madhya Pradesh, but not everyone can go to Mumbai and fulfill their dream, so a film city should be built in this region so that they do not have to go out.

The film’s actress Annapurna Dwivedi said that – The film has been shot in Umaria and Khamaria villages near Satna in Madhya Pradesh. Regional dialect will also be heard in its language. It will be released in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh. The film’s actor Avinash Tiwari is a superstar of Baghelkhand, it is a family and comedy film in which a message has been given against the dowry system.

The film’s actor Avinash Tiwari told that the story of Kunwarpur is of a village where no one has been married for the last 10 years because the village is cursed. Our hero Pappu’s marriage is fixed by mistake and the whole village has to go to the wedding procession. This has been woven into the story through humor. On the other hand, the heroine of the film is Manglik. She is married to Pappu by mistake. Both sides hide their reality from each other. This is the plot of the film.
