CONTINUUM: From Chaos to Calmness at Jehangir Art Gallery Mumbai
Artist, author and researcher Dr. Shefali Samir Bhujbal presents “CONTINUUM”, a Solo art exhibition exploring the movement from emotional chaos towards calmness, at Jehangir Art Gallery, Kala Ghoda, Mumbai, from 13th to 19th October 2026.
Through layered colour, textured surfaces and intuitive gestures, “CONTINUUM” invites viewers to encounter emotions beyond words. Its visual journey begins with dense, energetic compositions and gradually moves towards quieter forms, expansive colour fields and reflective spaces. Geometrical designs and abstract structures create varied encounters with movement, balance and stillness.
Rooted in Indian culture, nature and spirituality, Dr. Bhujbal’s multidisciplinary practice connects painting, literature and scholarly inquiry. Her Bharatanatyam training informs her sensitivity to rhythm, gesture and storytelling.
With a background in Botany, a PhD and over three decades of corporate, educational and professional experience, she is pursuing further doctoral research on spirituality in organisational growth.
Her artistic engagements include group exhibitions in World Art Dubai, the 40th International Exhibition in Samara, Russia, Art Unleashed in Dubai, Jehangir Art Gallery and India Art Festival, Hyderabad to name a few.
Her solo exhibitions include Annavarnam and Nisargayan, alongside live painting at the NCPA and Kala Ghoda Arts Festival.
Her books include Infinite Insight: A Journey of 50 Virtues, Amrutacha Ghanu, a Marathi photo biography of Hon. Chhagan Bhujbal, and Samudra Manthan. Featured in the Indian Contemporary Art Journal 2025–26, she has received the Tejaswini Award, Lokmat ICON, Jeevan Gaurav Awards and Suvichar Gaurav Award.
CONTINUUM welcomes art enthusiasts and curious visitors to pause, reflect and discover their own passage from intensity to inner quiet.

Prof. Dr. Madhu Krishan Honoured As Guest Of Honour At Uganda’s 64th Independence Day Celebrations; Recognises Outstanding Nation Builders For 2026
WORLD NEWS | KAMPALA, UGANDA — His Eminence Prof. Dr. Madhu Krishan, eminent scientist, Chairman of The American University, USA, and Chairman of The United Nations University for Global Peace, USA, was invited by His Excellency President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni of the Republic of Uganda to attend the Breakfast and Prayers Fellowship held at State House, Entebbe, on the occasion of Uganda’s 64th Independence Day celebrations.
The invitation marked a significant occasion, bringing together distinguished leaders and personalities to recognise national development, leadership, peace, and the advancement of humanity.
A Distinguished Contribution to Nation Building and Sustainable Development
As part of the series of events organised around the Independence Day celebrations, Prof. Dr. Madhu Krishan participated in a prestigious seminar on “Nation Building for Sustainable Development” in Kampala, where he presented distinguished awards to eminent religious leaders, community leaders, and nation builders for their contributions to leadership, humanitarian service, peace, and social development.
Delivering his keynote address, Prof. Dr. Madhu Krishan emphasised the vital role of visionary leadership in building peaceful, progressive, and sustainable nations. He called upon leaders to continually elevate their standards of service, integrity, compassion, and responsibility, inspiring them to become exemplary nation builders who contribute meaningfully to the well-being of their people.

During his keynote address, His Eminence Prof. Dr. Madhu Krishan also highly appreciated the unconditional support and cooperation extended by “Hon. Dr. David Bahati, Minister of Commerce, Trade, Industry” and Cooperatives, and “Hon. Mrs. Persis Princess Namuganza, Minister of Lands, Housing and Urban Development”. He further interacted with several Members of Parliament, including Hon. Joseph, Hon. Sarah, and Hon. K. George Patrick, among others, to promote a culture of peace and strengthen collaborative efforts towards Uganda’s sustainable development. Prestigious International Awards Recognise Uganda’s Distinguished Leaders
A highlight of the seminar was the presentation of the “Best Nation Builder Leader Award 2026” to Archbishop Dr. Moses Odongo, General Overseer of NFBPC, who was the first recipient of this prestigious recognition.
Bishop Dr. Africano Magyezi, General Secretary of NFBPC, was also honoured with the “Human Excellence Golden Award” and the distinction of “Peace Ambassador”, as stated in the event information, in recognition of the values of leadership, peace, and human excellence represented by these honours.
