Karnika Mandal Actress to share screen in Epic Period historical movie ‘‘YANA…? with Dashing Rahul B Kumar

Actress  Karnika Mandal steps into the spotlight as the lead actress of ‘YANA…?, undertaking what the production team describes as a “surprising and challenging role.” Her character reportedly draws from historical figures of the 1840s period, requiring extensive preparation and emotional range.

Karnika Mandal says ” after hearing the narration I am sure this is the my dream film for which I had been waiting for in my film career.”

“Karnika Mandal brings exceptional depth to her portrayal in this biopic,” notes a production insider. “The role demands both physical transformation and psychological immersion into a character from a vastly different era.”

The actress has been spotted at various historical locations during pre-production, studying artifacts and historical documents to better understand the societal context of women in 1840s India. Her dedication to historical accuracy demonstrates the film’s commitment to authentic storytelling despite its genre-bending musical elements.

Under the direction of Mr. Prajapati, ‘YAANA…? takes shape as a multilingual production that will be simultaneously released in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam. This ambitious approach reflects the pan-Indian significance of the historical events portrayed in the film, as well as the production team’s commitment to reaching diverse linguistic audiences across the subcontinent.

The multilingual production strategy involves not merely dubbing the film but adapting cultural and linguistic nuances for each regional version, ensuring authentic resonance with varied audiences. Prajapati’s directorial vision encompasses this complexity while maintaining narrative cohesion across all language versions.

Supporting Mr. Prajapati’s creative vision is a team of accomplished professionals, The film’s screenplay and dialogs have been crafted by Pinku Dube and Sonu Dandoria This collaborative approach to storytelling ensures that the historical narrative maintains both factual integrity and dramatic impact.

Composer Dev Chauhan has been tasked with creating a musical landscape that bridges nearly two centuries of musical evolution. His soundtrack for ‘YAANA…? will include traditional compositions authentic to the 1840s setting while also featuring contemporary elements—most notably an English-language song positioned to achieve international appeal.
