इंदिरा गाँधी राष्ट्रीय कला केन्द्र के अध्यक्ष व वरिष्ठ पत्रकार रामबहादुर राय ने यह विचार आज दिल्ली के कांस्टीट्यूशन क्लब में रघु ठाकुर की दो पुस्तक ‘ समस्या और समाधान ‘ व‌ ‘ आमजन और राजनीतिक ‘ के विमोचन समारोह के अवसर पर व्यक्त किये।

विमोचन समारोह में उत्तरप्रदेश विधानसभा के पूर्व अध्यक्ष हृदयनारायण दीक्षित, हरिजन सेवक संघ के उपाध्यक्ष लक्ष्मी दास, राज्यसभा के सदस्य संजय सिंह, राजनाथ शर्मा ( बाराबंकी)  उपस्थित थे । अध्यक्षता रघु ठाकुर ने की।

रामबहादुर राय ने कहा कि रघु ठाकुर के लेखों का गहराई से अध्ययन के बाद वे देश में दो बातों की विशेष जरूरत अनुभव करते हैं। पहली तो यह कि गांवों को जिला प्रशासन के चंगुल से निकाला जाये। दूसरा यह कि जनप्रतिनिधियों के नैतिक चरित्र की वापसी के लिए सांसद निधि समाप्त की जाये।

अध्यक्षीय उद्बोधन में रघु ठाकुर ने कहा कि हिन्दुस्तानी संसद के चरित्र को बदलने के लिए जरूरी है कि संसद गरीब के साथ एकाकार हो । जो सांसद निधि आमदनी का जरिया बन गयी है उसकी समाप्ति की जरूरत है।भारतीय लोकतंत्र की रक्षा के लिए कई स्तरों पर प्रयास की जरूरत है। पहला तो यही कि हमें हर गलत काम के लिए ‘ न ‘ कहना सीखना होगा। देश में हर प्रकार की कट्टरता समाप्त कर संवाद का वातावरण बनाने के साथ इस तरह के चुनाव- सुधार की जरूरत है कि गरीब आदमी भी चुनाव लड़ सके और वह अमीरों के कहे मुताबिक किसी कागज पर दस्तखत के लिए मजबूर न हो। राजनीतिक दलों में आंतरिक लोकतंत्र की जरूरत है। समाज में नैतिकता रहेगी तभी संवेदनशीलता बढ़ेगी। उन्होंने कहा कि मतभिन्नता लोकतंत्र में होती है पर लोकतंत्र का असली मर्म है मतभिन्नता में संवाद। आज समाजवाद के लिए यह जरूरी हे।

राज्यसभा सदस्य संजय सिंह ने कहा कि एक स्वस्थ लोकतंत्र में परस्पर असमहमति के बात भी चर्चा चलती रहती है। देश में पूंजीवाद को समाप्त करने के लिए कुटीर उद्योगों को प्रोत्साहित करने की जरूरत बताते हुए उन्होंने कहा  कि महात्मा गॉंधी का रास्ता ही खुशहाली का रास्ता है।

उत्तर प्रदेश विधानसभा के पूर्व अध्यक्ष हृदयनारायण दीक्षित ने कहा कि रघु ठाकुर के लेखों को पढ़ने के बाद हमें यह बात समझ में आती है कि हमें अतीतजीवी अस्मिताओं को समाप्त कर राष्ट्रीय भारतीय अस्मिता कायम करने की जरूरत है जिसे जर्मन विद्वान मैक्समूलर ने अपनी रचना ‘ भारत से हम क्या सीख सकते हैं ‘ भारत की विशेषता कहा है।

हरिजन सेवक संघ के उपाध्यक्ष लक्ष्मी दास ने कहा कि महात्मा गाँधी के आदर्शों के प्रति आस्थावान रघु ठाकुर जैसे लेखकों का अब अकाल होता जा रहा है।

पुस्तक विमोचन समारोह में कांस्टीट्यूशन क्लब में उमड़े श्रोताओं व खचाखच भरे सभागार को देखकर उत्तरप्रदेश विधानसभा के अध्यक्ष हृदयनारायण दीक्षित ने कहा कि उन्होंने पुस्तक- विमोचन के अनेक आयोजन देखे हैं पर इतनी बड़ी संख्या में श्रोता कभी नहीं देखे।
