So, say no to plastic is the one thing that I’ve been actually inculcating within their sensibility”

“Apart from all the other conscious work that we are doing, I also pledge that we continue buying wooden toys for our daughter Mehr, try and keep her away from plastic toys as much as we can. And more importantly we are totally open to hand me downs. Mehr has got a lot of friends who are six months or a year older and we believe in hand me down toys, clothes, books, all of it. It’s great on the pocket and more importantly it’s very good for the environment. We are doing our little bit and I think you guys should do yours too just so that our planet can accommodate our beautiful children in the future”, added Neha Dhupia.

In The Wake Of COVID-19 Jaiswal Youth Federation (JYF) In Association With Saraswati Devi Charitable Trust (SDCT) Helped More than 5000 Needy Families

Jaiswal Youth Federation (JYF) in association with Saraswati Devi Charitable Trust (SDCT) & with the support of its Trustees Sandipji & Rajdipji Gupta formed ‘Jaiswal Corona Task Team’ to serve more than 5,000 needy families in the wake of noble COVID – 19 pandemic outbreak. In an aim to provide groceries to the needy families, trust members joined hands with several other groups for this noble cause and volunteered wholeheartedly in the hour of need during this pandemic. Together, they successfully served 5,000 plus needy families around Mumbai, Thane & nearby suburbs such as Boisar, Dahanu and Alibaug.

CA Ramanand Gupta, President (JYF) said, “I feel proud to say that our JYF CORONA TASK TEAM proved to be the ‘Real Warriors’ under the guidance & supervision of our executive directors Ramashray Jaiswal & Sanjay Gupta along with Shambhoonath Gupta. I am thankful to all the members of JYF, Individuals, volunteers & donors for directly or indirectly supporting this noble task,” adding, “A heartfelt thanks to Rajdipji & Sandipji Gupta for being the mentor, motivator and our guiding light since inception and especially during this hour of need by being our prime advisors and a great support pillar.”

Rajdip Gupta, Trustee, Saraswati Devi Charitable Trust said, “It is our duty to stand up and do whatever we can to ensure we support the needy ones during emergencies. Charity indeed begins at home. The JYF has supported 1,000 families whereas we have supported more than 3,500 needy people. ”

 

All the communications between different federations were carried out digitally. The on-ground activities of distributing groceries were undertaken by maintaining social distance, wearing a mask and taking all the right precautions. इस आपदा की घड़ी में, मैं हर हिंदुस्तानी का आवाहन करता हूँ, की वह किसी भी पार्टी का हो, किसी भी धर्म का हो, किसी भी नस्ल का हो, सब भूल कर सिर्फ इंसानियत को ध्यान रखे, विश्वास रखे हम कोरोना से जंग अवश्य जीतेंगे और हमारे प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी जी इस देश को पुनः सफलता की ऊँचाई पर ले जाएंगे।

COVID-19 A Wake-up Call For Government Need To Focus On Tax Benefits For Common Man Says Solar expert!

The Indian wing of US-based solar solutions provider Suntuity Group, Suntuity Renewable Energy India (REI), has said the Coronavirus pandemic is a wake-up call for the Government of India and it should focus more on giving tax benefits to people than subsidies. “If you really want to try to incentivise people to go solar than you have to incentivise them by giving tax benefits,” said Imaan Javan, Director of operations at Suntuity REI.

Javan further said when people see tax benefits in something, they tend to move towards that direction to save up on taxes. “Solar used to have subsidies across the board but now subsidies are only limited to residential projects. And these projects are not that large in numbers. I am not saying to give them subsidies, but you can give them some tax breaks or something similar,” she said, adding, “Like in the USA they have 26{61307dbfb632870ba326f6322853bd3ffea5b163e9c789324eea2723926c15c1} flat ITC (investment tax credit) across the entire country (which was 30{61307dbfb632870ba326f6322853bd3ffea5b163e9c789324eea2723926c15c1} for a long time earlier) no matter which state you are in and they have different benefits for the state and benefits from the states. The Government of India aims to reach a renewable energy capacity of 175 GW by 2022 and then 500 GW after that. “In order to be able to achieve that, the government needs to determine how they would help people. Tax benefits would be beneficial for the common man as well as the industry,” Javan said.
