A rare occasion at Ellisbridge Gymkhana, Ahmedabad when Galaxy of Veterans and Vintage Car & Bike owners attended proudly the hosting of the ‘TRICOLOUR’ by Air Marshall Desai. The Scintillating Event was witnessed to a rare sight. When The Veterans flagged off Vintage Cars and Bikes at Ellisbridge Gymkhana, Ahmedabad on 26 January, 2020 at 08.30AM.

               

The GVCCC (Gujarat Vintage & Classic Cars Club) organized the “PEACE & PROGRESS RALLY” from Ellisbridge Gymkhana to Ahmedabad Gymkhana. The General Manager, Ellisbridge Gymkhana, Col AK Shukla, was instrumental in coordinating the grand Event.

Senior social worker and senior journalist Mr.K.Ravi (Dada) in Mumbai on Sunday, 26th January, through India Media Link Events Management, like every year outside Mumbai’s Tata Cancer Hospital, this year too, the people cheering  Kia, a program for the delivery of blankets to cancer victims, on the occasion K Ravi (Dada), along with film actor Shakku Rana, film producers Joy Bhosle, Ismail Warsi, The  That are Pdnge, and actor Rahul Ravi Majud,

Let me tell you that India Media Link Management has been doing such a successful program for the last several years, K.K.  Ravi (Dada) said that people usually say that thousands of people die of cold, but we say that they also die due to lack of woolen clothes and blankets.  Poor and helpless people sleep in the open sky on the sidewalk and road and die of cold.  These poor people sleep close to each other during cold waves, but in such circumstances how can one sleep without a blanket or quilt.  They tremble all night due to the cold air and some old people even die due to these bogus, for such people, today we celebrate such a festival every year on the midnight of 26 January Republic Day.  Without having to wake them up, put a blanket over them and give them a well packed hot breakfast, bottle of water and an attractive flag.

     

In making this program a success, we have received from our benefactors in Mumbai, Mr. Sh.  Anand Vagralkar, Pradeep Badhey, and Shiva Bhandari, the owner of the famous Shiva Salon also supported.

Deputy Mayor Promila Gaje Kabalana unveiled the painting exhibition – Bahara Notes From Spring

Gurugram25/01/2020  – A 20-day painting art exhibition “Bahara Notes from Spring” was started at Gallery 5 located at DLF1 Golf Course Road in the city. In which the artworks of eight artists are displayed. Deputy Mayor Smt. PromilaGaje Kabalana inaugurated the exhibition.

Deputy Mayor Smt. Promila Gaje Kabalana said that this is the best way to welcome Basant Ritu. In all the paintings of artists, the aspects of our lives are mingled. I congratulate all the artists for their amazing artistry.

Galerie5, the freshest addition to the millennial city’s vibrant art life, is pleased to present a group exhibition of works featuring its gallery artists.

The artwork on display had included work by some of the finest contemporary Indian artists – Tejinder Kanda, Jitender Dangi, Farhad Hussain, Jagmohan Bangani, Niren Sen Gupta, Bandana Kumari, Bimmi Khan, Santosh Kumar Rautray and Shailesh Mohan Ojha.

The show is an ode to spring and celebrates colours, warmth and new life. Masters of their techniques, the artists bring alive facets of daily  life – be it through the detailed strokes of Tejinder Kanda’s spatula capturing Indian street vignettes;  Farhad Hussain’s quirky, humorous figures in solid colours or Jagmohan Bangani’s brilliant yet sublime word sculptures ofKabir’s couplets and mantras from Indian scriptures.

VIVAAN SHAH WALKS ON HIS FATHER’S FOOT STEPS & CHOOSES A FILM KABAAD- THE COIN UNEXPLORED IN INDIAN CINEMA SO FAR

From 7 Khoon Maaf to Laali Ki Shaadi Mein Laaddoo Deewana, Vivaan Shah’s  films prove that we now have an actor who can masterfully balance between content-driven and commercial cinema. His recent film “Kabaad- The Coin” under the Banner- MBN Entertainment Pvt. Ltd, Directed by –  Varadraj Swami, Produced by-  Meena Negi, Babban Negi, Co-Produced by- Deepak Prajapat, Babban Negi is also another out-of-the-box script.    
Playing a Ragman (Kabadi) in the film, Vivaan took 90 days to understand & adapt the nuances & play the role to his utmost perfection. Vivaan along with the director Varadraj Swami used to interact with Ragmans to get in the skin of his character. Infact, Vivaan invited his mother Ratna Pathak on the sets of the film to show her how he is shaping his character. Vivaan also tanned himself to look like the character.
Calling Vivaan a director’s delight, Varadraj Swami, who has penned the critically acclaimed film Manjhi the mountain says “Acting runes in his blood. He comes from a family of brilliant actors. It is commendable that so early in his career, he is eager to experiment with his roles & choose character that explore his credentials as an actor. He is a director’s delight. Known to pick unconventional story lines every time he signs a film, Vivaan Shah says “Trying to play a kabaadiwala was a fascinating process. We have all observed hatgaadi pullers on the road in our everyday life, but to truly replicate the nuances, body language and cadences of a Ragman required some focussed study and observation. The way they pull the cart, or the calls they send out across the streets in order to sell their wares. It is all very specific and needed to be replicated authentically” further adds “In these I played a servant boy, a driver, a waiter and a Dalit respectively. I would say Kabaad- The Coin belongs to a similar category where it has a ploretarian hero. I find that more interesting than playing a big city boy or a privileged person. The director Vardraj Swami and the writer Shahzad Ahmed were of invaluable help to me in trying to render true the nuances, speech, and practices of a kabaadiwala. Also what the three of us had fun with was the Bumbaiya language. I’m playing a Maharashtrian character called Bandhan and I just had a blast speaking in Bumbaiya because that is the language I have grown up speaking with my friends on the street. It’s a vernacular I am deeply familiar with and hopefully I have been able to represent it authentically in the film”
“I love both realistic and slightly fantastic cinema. It was an immense challenge to play a character that was outside the realm of my experience and also from a different strata of society. I’ve played working class character about 4 times now. In 7 Khoon Maaf, Bombay Velvet, Laali ki shaadi mein laddoo Deewana and Coat” says Vivaan Shah

Asian-African Leadership Forum organized a Leadership Award in the National Capital

The Asian-African Chamber of Commerce & Industry (AACCI) organised their flagship summit- 2nd Asian-African Leadership Forum in New Delhi. The Forum consisted of a grand summit with amongst diplomats from the two continents.

The AACCI forum witnessed the presence of high ranking diplomats who discussed much about the potential of two continents and different areas of cooperation. The distinguished personalities present were H.E Mr. George Mkondiwa, H.E Ms. Grace Akello, High Commissioner, Uganda together with Nigerian High Commissioner H.E Maj. Gen. Chris Sunday Eze and H.E Mrs. Faduma Abdullahi Mohamud, Ambassador, Somalia. Mr. Md. Shafiul Alam, Councellor, Bangladesh High Commission in India was also among the speakers and attendees.

The eminent dignitaries signified the crucial role of Asia and Africa in the ‘new world order’ and talked about the vibrant opportunities of trade and investment in Africa. They also emphasized on the developing infrastructure and abundance of natural resources in Africa

An Historic Event Between Heartfulness Institute and Rashtra Sant Vandaniya Tukdoji Maharaj Sanstha at Gurukunj Ashram, Amaravati, Maharashtra.

As a result of the ongoing relationship between Heartfulness Institute and Tukdoji Maharaj’s organisation, Shri Kamlesh Patel (Daaji) was invited to join Rashtra Sant Vandaniya Tukdoji Maharaj’s Shraddhanjali annual event at Gurukunj near Amaravati, Maharashtra state, where more than 150,000 followers of Shri Tukdoji Maharaj gathered participating in various programs in his memory.

Reporters from Lokmat interviewed Daaji about spirituality and the Heartfulness Way, in which he said:

“Meditation is a technique to stabilise a fickle mind. The mind first becomes serene, and then it needs  to be given a direction. What do we do after the mind has become settled?  A student will focus on studies, a business man will focus on making money, but the most worthy utilisation is the Realisation of God, to attain Brahma Vidya. Even Lord Krishna says that meditation is an excellent thing to do. It’s only through meditation that we can excel in every endeavour.”

“Loneliness is the cause of so many problems. People may be married but they still feel lonely. The loneliness epidemic is society’s  biggest problem today. “People have assumed that the mind is our enemy, but, in fact, there is no friend better than the mind. How can we pray without the mind? How can we be devoted without the mind? How can we make resolutions without the mind? We cannot reach anywhere without making resolutions. Without meditation, resolutions will never yield results.

    

“Everyone wants happiness. Who wants sorrow? No one. When can we be happy? When the mind becomes contemplative. When can we contemplate? When the mind rests on one thing after making a resolution. It becomes focused. And when can the mind become  focused? When it is regulated. And when will it be regulated? When we meditate. Now connect the statements above. Is happiness possible without meditation? In Heartfulness, due to Transmission or pranahuti, meditation becomes very simple. …
