But I really enjoyed working in kinna chauna .
This is the first video which I have directed and people are appreciating my work. I shot this video in a critical cold condition . While performing in snow once I fainted. But I am happy I shot it in beautiful locations and the results have come out brilliant. All is well when the end is well . After kinna chauna i will start shooting the next video very soon”.

One of the most iconic sports of all times, Arm Wrestling is often referred to as India’s favourite pastime! The sport now has a competitive avatar that has successfully drawn people across all ages and the followers including genders, thanks to this competition. In a unique bid in athletics to let your forearms do the talking, Pro-Panja is emulating the league format for arm-wrestling!
“Panja is an internationally acclaimed sport, seeped in Indianness! That’s what the Pro-Panja League stands for,” expressed actors Parvin Dabas and Preeti Jhangiani, the brains behind Pro-Panja League, at a press conference held at Sofitel, BKC. Besides Parvin Dabas and Preeti Jhangiani, the press conference witnessed Pran Pratim Chaliha (Treasurer of Indian Arm Wrestling Federation), Hashim Reza Zaveth (President of Indian Arm Wrestling Federation), Mustafa Ali (Head Referee of Indian Arm Wretling Federation) among other dignitaries and participants of the league. An interesting facet of the evening was that members of the media fraternity also participated in friendly panja matches!
The maiden venture, with ardent followers including 5,000 male and 2,000 female arm wrestlers in the amateur levels saw 400 athletes from 18 states, with Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju and Padma Shri Olympic Boxer Vijender Singh with an undefeated streak, not just making their presence felt at the maiden Pro-Panja League, but also participating in an exhibition match where, instead of shaking hands, they wrestled arms. This was seen to be motivating for the youth, who then flocked in numbers towards the amateur arm wrestling tables set up for the youth to try their hands!
Talking about the origins of the sport in India, Parvin Dabas avered, “Eugene Sandow, the father of bodybuilding visited Mumbai in 1904. This was at the invitation of Sir Dhunjibhoy Bomanji, a shipping magnate and a popular socialite! Sandow’s visit created a great impact and before we knew it, the homegrown Panja became a household thing!”
“The league has spawned an emerging hub of contenders from Punjab, MP, Haryana, Mizoram, Manipur and Kerala! Some of these states also boast gyms in which women often sculpt their ‘dominant hands’ by arm-wrestling!,” revealed Parvin, an avid MMA fan who is also the man behind MMA India Show, Sports India Show among portals.
Preeti Jhangiani believes that these numbers are all set to grow. “India’s most promising athletes are from Manipur and Mizoram! We are exploring more and more states with the hope to motivate more people to take up this sport professionally!
“Anyone can play arm wrestling. But it takes hours at the gym perfecting arm wrestling techniques, physical strength, skill, endurance and talent to compete professionally at a higher level. “We are glad we are pioneering a sport in India where arm wrestling has moved from college canteen tables to the professionally designed Arm Wrestling tables!” elaborated Parvin Dabas who is excited that this year witnessed a record number of entries despite the pandemic.
This year will also see the best compete for the title of No. 1 Arm Wrestler in the country. Interestingly, the technique, the angle of the tug, the timing of a surge and the precise position of each finger decides the winner in pro-Panja League that proves that brain is more powerful than brawn!

9 फरवरी 2021, कोलकाता : कोलकाता की सुप्रसिद्ध सामाजिक संस्था ‘प्रभा खेतान फाउंडेशन’ द्वारा आयोजित और श्री सीमेंट द्वारा प्रस्तुत ‘एक मुलाकात विशेष’ के ऑनलाइन सत्र को वर्चुअली संबोधित करते हुए फिल्म निर्माता दीपा मेहता ने कहा, मेरे जीवन में भारतीय सिनेमा के प्रति मेरा लगाव हमेशा से काफी ज्यादा रहा है। जब मैं एक एनआरआई नागरिक बन गयी, तब मै भारतीय सिनेमा में काफी ग्राउंडेड भी हो गयी थी। क्योंकि मुझे लगता है कि भारत मुझे अगर नई कहानियां देता है, तो कनाडा मुझे उन्हें व्यक्त करने की आजादी प्रदान करता है।
दिल्ली की अहसास वुमन की सदस्य अर्चना डालमिया के एक सवाल के जवाब में कि, ‘एक एनआरआई के रूप में आप भारतीयता पर अपने फिल्म निर्माण को कैसे ढाल रही हैं?’ का वह जवाब दे देते हुए दीपा मेहता ने कहा, मैं एक अनिच्छुक कनाडाई नागरिक बन चुकी थी, तब लंबे समय तक मुझे भारत से बाहर रहना पड़ा था। इस दौरान भारत को मैने काफी मिस किया। घर को वास्तव में सुरक्षा के लिए परिभाषित किया जाता है और अगर मैं भारत में खुद को सुरक्षित महसूस नहीं करती तो यह मेरा घर नहीं कहला सकता है। मैं एक अलग तरह की एनआरआई हूं।
‘एक मुलाकात विशेष’ कार्यक्रम के इस ऑनलाइन सत्र की शुरूआत अहमदाबाद अहसास की महिला शाखा की तरफ से प्रियांशी पटेल ने किया।
दीपा मेहता, जो अपनी फिल्म ‘फायर’ के लिए काफी विवादों के घेरे में आयी थी, इसके लिए उन्हें काफी नाराजगी का सामना करना पड़ा था। इसके बाद भारत में उन्हें अपनी अगली आनेवाली फिल्म ‘वाटर’ के प्रोडक्शन को बंद करना पड़ा था।
दीपा मेहता का काम निडर और उत्तेजक भरा है, जो रूढ़िवादी विचारधारा को हमेशा चुनौती देता है। उन्होंने हाल ही में नेटफ्लिक्स ओरिजिनल सीरीज़ और लीला के लिए पायलट का दूसरा एपिसोड शूट किया। वह इस शो की रचनात्मक कार्यकारी निर्माता भी हैं। उन्होंने एप्पल टीवी के लिए लिटिल अमेरिका के पायलट एपिसोड-‘द मैनेजर’ का भी निर्देशन किया। दीपा की फिल्म ‘मिडनाइट्स चिल्ड्रन’ को श्रीलंका में शूट किया गया था। उनकी नवीनतम फीचर फिल्म ‘फन्नी बॉय’, श्याम सेल्वादुरई द्वारा लिखित पुरस्कार विजेता उपन्यास पर आधारित है, जिसे द्वीप राष्ट्र में भी शूट किया जा रहा है।
दीपा ने कहा, अब श्रीलंका के लिए मेरा प्यार बढ़ने लगा, क्योंकि भारत में उसे पसंद नहीं किया जा रहा था जो मैं करना चाहती थी।
जीवन में सिनेमा के प्रति उनके लगाव की शुरुआत कैसे हुई? इस सवाल के जवाब में दीपा ने कहा, सिनेमा के लिए मेरा जुनून तब शुरू हुआ जब मैं छह साल की थी। मेरे पिता के पास पंजाब और अमृतसर में एक सिनेमा हॉल और फिल्म प्रोडक्शन कंपनी थी। स्कूल के बाद हमें पिताजी के पास जाना पड़ता था। वहां जाने के बाद उनका इंतजार करने के लिए उन्हें कई बार मूवी थियेटर में घंटों इंतजार करना पड़ता था। इस दौरान मैंने फिल्म ममता को लगभग अस्सी बार छोटे-छोटे हिस्सों में देखा, जिसके बाद मुझे उससे प्यार हो गया। मैंने फिर अपने पिता से पूछा- यह कैसे होता है? इसपर वह मुझे निर्माण कक्ष में ले गये और मुझे दिखाया कि फिल्म कैसे बनती है, फिर हम गलियारे से नीचे उतरे। मेरे पिता ने मुझे वह स्क्रीन महसूस कराया जो कपड़े का एक टुकड़ा था, उस समय मुझे महसूस हुआ कि पूरी बात जादुई है। ऐसा कुछ जिसे मैं महसूस कर सकती थी, इसके वर्णों को स्पर्श कर सकती थी। मुझमें ऐसी भावनाएँ पैदा होने लगी जो मुझे रोमांचित भी करने लगी थी। मुझे तब लगने लगा कि राज कपूर अद्भुत व्यक्तित्व थे। मैंने उनकी फिल्म ‘श्री 420’ को 20 बार देखा। एक और बहुत ही अलग फिल्म ‘जागते रहो’ जो मुझे एक बहुत ही अच्छी और प्रेरणादायक फिल्म लगी थी। कुछ बांग्ला फिल्म निर्माताओं की फिल्मों ने भी हमे काफी प्रभावित किया। मै सत्यजीत रे और ऋत्विक घटक द्वारा निर्मित फिल्मों को काफी पसंद करने लगी थी। रे मेरे हीरो बन गए थे, आज तक मुझे लगता है कि चारूलता एक ऐसी फिल्म है जिसने मुझे हमेशा प्रेरित किया है। जब मैं महिलाओं पर फिल्म बनाती हूं, तो मुझे इससे काफी प्रेरणा मिलती है। वर्तमान में, नए फिल्म निर्माता और निर्देशक के तौर पर अनुभव सिन्हा, अनुराग कश्यप, विक्रम मोटवानी और ऑस्कर नामांकित फिल्म निर्माता दीपा मेहता मेरे लिए प्रशंसनीय हैं। जो 50 के दशक के सत्यजीत रे, विटोरियो डी सिका, यासुजिरो ओजू के मानवीय सिनेमा से प्रेरणा लेते हैं। उन्हें लगता है कि इन निर्माताओं की मानवता, करुणा और जुनून से भरी फिल्में इस विभाजनकारी दुनिया में हमारे रक्षक हैं।
हमारे निजी जीवन के लिए घातक बन रहे सोशल मीडिया पर दीपा ने कहा, यह काफी शक्तिशाली और विनाशकारी उपकरण है। मुझे लगता है कि जिस प्रकार कारवां आगे बढ़ता रहता है, और कुत्ते भौंकते रहते हैं। ठीक इसी प्रकार यह अति खतरनाक है।
आपको क्या लगता है कि 2030 में फिल्म इंडस्ट्री कहां तक और किस उंचाई तक पहुंचेगी? क्या हम कभी सिनेमाघरों में वापस जाएंगे?
जवाब में दीपा ने कहा, स्ट्रीमिंग ने फिल्मों को देखने के तरीके को पूरी तरह से बदल दिया है। मुझे आशा है कि यह जल्द नया रूप लेगा, क्योंकि मेरे लिए सिनेमा देखने के लिए एक पवित्र जगह में जाने जैसा है, जहां आप किसी चीज से परेशान नहीं होते हैं। इन्हीं विशेषताओं के कारण इतने लंबे समय तक सिनेमा जगत जीवित है। इसी तरह से नाट्य शास्त्र भी है, जो वर्षों से जीवंत है। 2030 के दशक में भी सिनेमा और नाटक मौजूद रहेंगे, क्योंकि सिनेमा एवं नाटकों के बिना जीवन वास्तव में उबाऊ है। दीपा कहती है, वह महसूस करती हैं कि उनकी हर फिल्म उनके लिए उनकी किस्मत है।

डिजिटल स्टार सतीश रे दिखेंगे ‘पांडेजी ज़रा संभलके‘ में एक नये अवतार में !
आज की शहरी ज़िंदगी पूरी तरह से तनाव और अन्य जटिलताओं से परिपूर्ण होती है. ऐसे में हंसने-हंसाने की ज़रूरत पहले से कहीं ज़्यादा महसूस की जाने लगी है. ऐसे में अब आपको हंसाने के लिए कॉमेडी सीरीज़ ‘पांडेजी ज़रा संभलके’ जल्द ही आपके सामने पेश होगी.
इस सीरीज़ की कहानी मनोज पांडे (सतीश रे) नामक एक ऐसे शख़्स के इर्द-गिर्द घूमती है जो अपनी गर्लफ़्रेंड दिबोशी (डॉली चावला) के साथ लिव-इन-रिलेशनशिप में रहता है. उसकी ख़्वाहिश हमेशा से ही दिबोशी से शादी करने की रही है लेकिन उसकी ज़िंदगी में एक ऐसा मोड़ आता है जब वो ख़ुद को अपनी बचपन की दोस्त इशिता (कनिका खन्ना) की तरफ़ आकर्षित पाता है जिससे फिल्म में हास्य की नई नई परिस्थितियों का निर्माण होता है. अभिनेता प्रकाश जैस इस सीरीज़ में सतीश रे के दोस्त नरेश के अहम रोल में नज़र आएंगे.
उल्लेखनीय है कि इससे पहले सतीश रे द्वारा निभाए गये ईमानदार शर्मा, अल्फ़ा पांडे और बबन भोला जैसे किरदार काफ़ी लोकप्रिय साबित हुए थे. उनके शो ‘ईमानदार इंटरव्यू’ के साथ साथ भोजपुरी और बिहारी लहज़े में उनके बोलने का अंदाज़ भी देशभर के युवाओं को ख़ासा पसंद आया था. अब इस सीरीज़ में सतीश रे का फिर से एक नया अंदाज़ देखने को मिलेगा.
‘पांडे जी संभलके’ का निर्माण किया है मैत्री फिल्म प्रोडक्शन के गनु दादा और अमोल भोसले ने जबकि इस सीरीज़ को विनय शांडिल्य ने निर्देशित किया है. वहीं निखिल रायबोले और भूपेंद्रकुमार नंदन ने इस सीरीज़ को मिलकर लिखा है.

आईटीए अवार्ड्स 2021 में कोरोना वॉरियर्स जितेंदर सिंह शंटी और ज्योतजीत हुए सम्मानित
भारत के 4 वां सर्वोच्च नागरिक पुरस्कार पद्मश्री 2021 से सम्मानित कोरोना वॉरियर्स श्री जितेन्द्र सिंह शंटी को (संस्थापक- एनजीओ शहीद भगत सिंह सेवा दल) बीते दिनों 14 फरवरी 2021 को मुंबई के प्राइम फोकस, फिल्म सिटी में इंडियन टेलीविजन अवार्ड्स 2021 में भी सम्मानित किया गया। उनके साथ साथ उनके बेटे ज्योतजीत (अंतर्राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर प्रशंसित आपदा प्रबंधन विशेषज्ञ और चेयरपर्सन-डिजास्टर मैनेजमेंट सेल, SBSSD) को भी सम्मानित किया गया। पिता-पुत्र की जोड़ी, दोनों ने कोविड -19 महामारी के दौरान प्रतिष्ठित सेवाएं प्रदान की हैं, कोरोना वारियर्स के रूप में कोविड -19 के लिए नि: शुल्क वैन सेवा जैसी बहुत जरूरी सेवाएं प्रदान करके, राहत और बचाव में कार्य कर रहे हैं। तथा कोरोना रोग के मृतक के लिए नि: शुल्क अंतिम संस्कार सेवाएं भी प्रदान की हैं।
अब तक वे हज़ारों की संख्या में डेड बॉडीज का अंतिम संस्कार कर चुके हैं। जो डेड बॉडीज लावारिस थी या जहाँ परिवार ख़ुदकुशी कर रहे थे या गहरे डर में थे और दाह संस्कार नहीं कर सकते थे। वे सच्चे कोरोना वॉरियर की उनकी मदद करते हैं। मानवता और राष्ट्र के लिए अपने जीवन को खतरे में डालते हैं। अब कोविड -19 टीकाकरण अभियान के दौरान, शहीद भगत सिंह सेवा दल की एम्बुलेंसों को राष्ट्र की सेवा में नियुक्त किया गया है। मानव जाति की मानवीय सेवा के कारण शंटी और जीत को भारतीय टेलीविजन पुरस्कार 2021 में सम्मानित किया गया।
बस उम्र 27 साल, युवा और गतिशील ज्योतजीत, एम.एससी डिज़ैस्टर मैनेजमेंट (इंग्लैंड) प्रसिद्ध अंतर्राष्ट्रीय डिज़ैस्टर मैनेजमेंट विशेषज्ञ और एक सामाजिक कार्यकर्ता है। वह एनजीओ शहीद भगत सिंह सेवा दल के आपदा प्रबंधन प्रकोष्ठ के अध्यक्ष हैं।वह अपने आपदा प्रबंधन सेल के माध्यम से आपात स्थितियों और आपदाओं के दौरान आपातकालीन प्रतिक्रिया सेवाओं और मानवीय राहत का विस्तार कर रहे है। वह भारत में आपातकालीन सेवाओं की उपलब्धता, पहुंच और प्रभावशीलता को बढ़ावा देने के माध्यम से जीवन बचाने की दिशा में काम कर रहे है। कोरोना वॉरियर और सर्वाइवर, खुद ही लिड करना, कोविड पॉजिटिव डेडबॉडी का दाह संस्कार करते हैं और कोविड मरीजों को अस्पतालों तक पहुंचाने के लिए खुद ही एंबुलेंस चलाते हैं। वह जागरूकता पैदा करने और भारत में आपदा तैयारी की संस्कृति विकसित करने की दिशा में प्रतिबद्ध है। उन्होंने एंबुलेंस पायलट- एस्कॉर्ट सर्विस की इमरजेंसी सर्विसेज प्रोजेक्ट को सफलतापूर्वक विकसित किया है और एंबुलेंस, ब्लड डोनर्स, ऑर्गन ट्रांसप्लांट केसेस आदि से जान बचाई है। चिकित्सा सुविधाओं के लिए मरीजों की आपातकालीन प्रतिक्रिया समय को बचाने के लिए जो अक्सर समझौता किया जाता है क्योंकि एम्बुलेंस ट्रैफिक जाम में अक्सर फंस जाते हैं। इसके अलावा, #AmbulanceFirst और # ReserveLane4Ambulance उनके अभियान हैं जो आम जनता के बीच जागरूकता पैदा करने के लिए एम्बुलेंस और सरकारों को पीक घंटों के दौरान एम्बुलेंस के लिए एक लेन आरक्षित करने के लिए रास्ता देते हैं। इन अभियानों ने विभिन्न डिजिटल प्लेटफॉर्म पर लाखों लोगों का भारी समर्थन हासिल किया है।
उनके एनजीओ शहीद भगत सिंह सेवा दल 1997 से कई मानवीय सेवाएं प्रदान कर रहे है। वह दिल्ली में 24×7 मुफ़्त एम्बुलेंस सेवा चलाते है, जो मरीजों को इलाज की सुविधा जैसे अस्पतालों में स्थानांतरित करना है। रोगियों की श्रेणी में कार्डीऐक अरेस्ट के मामले, उपचार के दौर से गुजर रहे रोगी, सड़क-दुर्घटना, आघात-मामले आदि शामिल हैं। अब तक, उन्होंने 39,450 से अधिक रोगियों को पहुंचाया और कई लोगों की जान बचाई। उनके पास हार्से-वैन का एक बेड़ा भी है जो लाशों को दाह संस्कार या दफन करने के लिए मुफ्त ले जाते हैं। इन हार्ट वैन में 54,780+ से अधिक शवों को रखा गया है। वे सभी गरिमा के साथ नि: शुल्क सेवा द्वारा गरीबों और जरूरतमंदों की मदद करते हैं। उन्होंने अब तक 16,562+ शवों के नि: शुल्क दाह संस्कार में मदद की है।
गैर सरकारी संगठन के संस्थापक, शंटी का स्वैच्छिक रक्तदान के क्षेत्र में महत्वपूर्ण योगदान है। उन्होंने स्वयं 102 बार रक्तदान किया है और 150 रक्तदान शिविरों का आयोजन और ऐप प्रदान किया है। जरूरतमंदों को 22,120 यूनिट रक्त नि: शुल्क उपलब्धि को हासिल करने के लिए उनका नाम द वर्ल्ड बुक ऑफ रिकॉर्ड्स, लंदन में दुनिया के पहले सिख के रूप में दर्ज है। आपदा प्रबंधन के क्षेत्र में, NGO के पास एक आपदा प्रबंधन सेल है, जिसके तहत विभिन्न आपातकालीन प्रतिक्रिया टीमें एम्बुलेंस सेवा, बचाव सेवाएं, चिकित्सा देखभाल, मुफ्त की लागत-आपदा राहत और सहायता प्रदान करने वाली आपात स्थितियों में प्रभावी ढंग से प्रतिक्रिया देती हैं, मानवीय प्रतिक्रिया-शिविर स्थापित करती हैं, भोजन, सहायता और राहत, शिविर प्रबंधन, डब्ल्यूएएसएच (जल, सेनिटेशन ऐन्ड हाइजीन) सेवाएं प्रदान करना और आपदा से मरने वाले लोगों के शवों को परिवहन और अंतिम संस्कार करने की एक अनूठी सेवा। एनजीओ ने गुजरात भूकंप 2001, नेपाल भूकंप 2015, चेन्नई बाढ़ 2015, केरल बाढ़ 2018 आदि सहित विभिन्न आपदा स्थलों पर जमीनी स्तर पर काम किया है।
इन सेवाओं में और इजाफा करते हुए, श्री शंटी और श्री ज्योतजीत लोगों को प्रशीतित मोर्चरी बॉक्स प्रदान करते हैं, जहाँ उनके दाह संस्कार /दफनाने से पहले शव को थोड़े समय के लिए संरक्षित किया जाना चाहिए। श्री शंटीने 11,580+ से अधिक लाशों के लिए यह सेवा प्रदान की है।
“मैं आज यह सम्मान प्राप्त करने के लिए विनम्र हूं। हम शहीद भगत सिंह सेवा दल पिछले ढाई दशकों से मानवतावादी सेवाओं का विस्तार कर रहे हैं और जब कोविड -19 आक्रमण हुवा था, तो हमारी टीमों ने पहले से अधिक काम करने का निर्णय लिया क्योंकि अगर हमने अपनी सेवाओं को समय पर प्रदान नहीं किया होता और जबकि राष्ट्र को इसकी जरूरत थी, तो हम कभी साफ विवेक के साथ नहीं रह सकते थे। अब हम गर्व के साथ कह सकते हैं कि हमारी टीमों ने अपने खून पसीने की कमाई और यहां तक कि जीवन भी दे दिया, जब हमारे एक एम्बुलेंस ड्राइवर कोविड की मृत्यु हो गई। हमने वह सब किया जो हम कर सकते थे और यह कोई दायित्व नहीं था, लेकिन सिर्फ हमें हमारे राष्ट्र के लिए प्यार हैं। यदि कोई विकल्प दिया जाता है, तो हम अपने राष्ट्र के लिए बार-बार मर सकते हैं। मैं ऐसे लोगों का शुक्रगुजार हूं, जिन्होंने हमारी एनजीओ की कट्टर सेवाओं के मूल्य को पहचाना और समझा। ” जितेन्द्र सिंह शंटी (संस्थापक- SBSSD) ने कहा
श्री ज्योतजीत ने कहा “मेरा मानना है कि हर जीवन मायने रखता है, और इसलिए हमें खुद को आपदाओं के लिए तैयार करना चाहिए और आपदा की तैयारी पर जोर देकर सक्रिय रुख पर काम करना चाहिए क्योंकि यह समय की आवश्यकता है। अगर हम अभी से तैयारियों पर ध्यान दें तो आपदा के बाद शवों को बचाया जा सकता है। शवों पर ध्यान केंद्रित करना, मेरा मानना है कि गरिमा न केवल जीवन में बल्कि मृत्यु में भी है। प्रत्येक व्यक्ति को एक गरिमापूर्ण मृत्यु का अधिकार है क्योंकि हर व्यक्ति अपने अंतिम संस्कार को सम्मानपूर्वक संपन्न करने का हकदार है। किसी को भी उनके अंतिम संस्कार से वंचित नहीं किया जाना चाहिए। इसलिए, हम मृतकों के प्रबंधन के लिए अंतिम संस्कार सेवाओं का विस्तार कर रहे हैं, जो धर्म के विशिष्ट रीति-रिवाजों और परंपराओं का पालन करते हुए अंतिम संस्कार / दफन करते हैं। ”
